AJAX talk at CJUG
# 2005-05-11 22:13:50 -0400 | General / Java | 5 CommentsI did a presentation at CJUG tonight on AJAX. We had a good turnout, the talk went well — and of course there was beer and pizza (thanks Sun and Borland!).
There is nothing like putting together a talk to force yourself to learn a technology: I used DWR for my examples, its a very capable and easy to use library. I think you might start seeing some AJAX techniques slip into some of our products :D
Got any interesting slides? :)
Slides? Give me a good IDE and some hand-waving, and I don’t need any slides! ;-)
The code is here: http://www.cjugaustralia.org/slides/200505/matts_code.zip
Am I fick? Does the code sample, in the fancy picture, on the DWR page, make sense?
im: makes sense to me; some javascript code calling through to some java code on the server side. The “Data” variable is an object registered through DWR.
