		<description>&lt;p&gt;Old Timer and Malcom, you are both wrong. There are some minor problems with them which should be gone in jse 6.0 (I hope). But aside from that, they are very useful. Generics are good, you haven&#039;t used Java very much if you don&#039;t like them.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;I&#039;m not supportive of Generics for Commercial development, the stuff is just too hard for you average developer. This is starting to throw away the great feature of Java, its simplicity.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Fortunately I dont have to worry about Generics anytime soon, as it will be a couple of years before commercial application servers are verified against it. Anyway I would ban it in the coding standards anyway.&lt;/p&gt;
