My kingdom for some bandwidth

We moved into our new house this week, and my ISP said it could be up to 2 weeks before the fuck knuckles get around to plugging me into the ADSL exchange.

So I’m on freaking dialup!

It is quite amazing how accustomed my wife and I have become to an always-on broadband connection. I had to dialup last night to check a phone number in the White Page, and then hang-up the modem before dialing out. How anachronistic!

And don’t get me started on cvs update performance. More time for coffee, I suppose. Because there is no slashdot-ing while I’m talking to the repository.

Yes more flash! I want to see more matrix-style text-to-green, drop-off-screen magic!

Maybe a flash about how each character was hand crafted and place and moved. Self referential, postmodern…
